Terms of Use
These are the rules for using Crewbound. By using the app you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use it.
What Crewbound is
Crewbound helps groups of friends plan trips: finding dates, choosing places, organising plans and keeping a record of shared costs.
Your account
- You must be at least 13 to use Crewbound.
- Sign in with an email address you control, and keep access to it. Anyone who can read that email can sign in as you.
- Choose a name your friends will recognise. Don't pretend to be someone else.
Money
Crewbound keeps a record. It does not hold, move or guarantee money.
- The app shows who owes whom based on what you and your group enter. It's only as accurate as that information.
- Any payment between people, including deposits, happens between you and them, outside Crewbound for now. Marking something “paid” records that it happened. It doesn't make a payment.
- If you and a friend disagree about money, that's between you. We aren't a party to it and can't recover money for you.
- If we add in-app payments later, they'll come with their own terms, shown to you before you use them.
Your content
What you add, such as trips, notes, documents and photos, stays yours. You give us permission to store it and show it to the people you share it with, so the app can work. Don't add anything unlawful, anything that isn't yours to share, or passports and other ID documents. Documents are meant for bookings, reservations and tickets.
Behaving well
Don't misuse the app: no abuse or harassment, no attempts to break or get around its security, no use of other people's accounts, and no automated scraping. We can suspend or close an account that does.
Suggestions and information
Places, costs, dates and any suggestions in the app are for planning only. They may be wrong or out of date. Check prices, opening times, travel rules and bookings yourself before you rely on them.
Availability
We work to keep Crewbound running but can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change or remove features. Please keep your own copy of anything important, such as booking confirmations.
Our responsibility
Nothing in these terms limits anything the law doesn't allow us to limit, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, we're not liable for losses that weren't a foreseeable result of our failure, for lost profits or business, or for what happens on or around your trips. Where we are liable, our total responsibility to you is limited to the amount you've paid us for Crewbound in the previous 12 months, or £100 if you've paid nothing.
Ending things
You can stop using Crewbound and ask us to delete your account at any time, as described in the Privacy Policy. We can end or suspend access if you break these terms or if we have to by law.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you before it takes effect. Carrying on using the app afterwards means you accept the new terms.
The law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts can deal with any dispute. If you're a consumer elsewhere in the UK, you keep any rights you have to bring a claim where you live.
